Compliance & Ethics
There’s never been a tougher or better time to be a part of
the Compliance and Ethics profession. Budgets are tight,
governments around the world are adding new regulations,
public trust in business is low, and employees are tempted
to cut corners.
As a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
you’ll be able to demonstrate your ability to meet the
challenges of these times and have the knowledge you
need to help move your program and your career forward.

Paul Townsend, CCEP
Chief Compliance Officer
1) Why did you decide to
Having recently taken on the
Chief Compliance Officer role (in
additional to Internal Audit and Risk
Management) in the organization,
and reporting directly to the board
of directors, I wanted to give
them confidence that I had the
credentials to effectively do the job.
2) How do you feel your
certification has helped you?
Learning the materials and
studying for the exam gave me the
confidence that I had mastered the
basics of implementing an effective
compliance program. The ongoing
professional development and the
magazine only serve to build on
this knowledge and confidence.
3) Would you recommend that your
peers get certified?
If you have a role in Compliance,
or want to get into the Compliance
profession, I would highly
recommend the CCEP designation.
It’s a way to differentiate
yourself and gives confidence
to your employer.
